Iqran R. | Film – Photography – Design

Iqran Rasheed is a Pakistani filmmaker, writer, and photographer based in Brussels. His multidisciplinary work explores gender, sexuality, and human rights—often at their intersections with race, class, and religion. With a background in communication and design, he holds a master’s degree in Documentary Film Direction from the acclaimed DocNomads Erasmus Mundus program, spanning Portugal, Hungary, and Belgium.

His films—What Are You Looking For?, Aadat (Habit), and Grandmother—have screened at international festivals, recognized for their intimate and thought-provoking storytelling. Aadat (Habit) received the Best Thesis Project Award, and his work continues to gain attention for its emotional depth and formal clarity.

He is currently developing Red Elephant, a short documentary that examines the Belgian asylum process through personal and political narratives of trauma, grief, and bureaucracy. Alongside his filmmaking, Iqran also engages with photography and poetry, capturing fleeting moments and unspoken emotions that shape human experience.
